FROM THE PENTECOSTAL TEMPLE YOUTH DEPARTMENT ARCHIVES
YOUTH MINISTRY OF GIVING

On Saturday December 20, 2003, the Youth & Young Adult Department of Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ went out and ministered to different shelters here in the Memphis area. We visited the Seek for the Old Path Shelter for women and children located on Linden Ave. and the Union Mission for men located on Union Ave. We donated clothing items, hats, gloves, socks, shoes, underwear, toys and books to these shelters. We also sung christmas carols and a song entitled "I Need You to Survive" by Hezekiah Walker at both shelters.

The last shelter we visited was Youth Villages - Dogwood Campus located off Sommerville Rd. This shelter houses boys and girls from the ages of 12 - 18. We handed out christmas stockings filled with different items to each boy and girl. We were taken on a tour of their facility.

The whole day was a huge success! We were blessed by blessing others who are less fortunate than we are. It was truly a blessing to be able to put a smile on someone's face and to let them know that Jesus loves them and so do we.
